In our first edition of Lane2Lane “Test Drive” we’ve got our hands on the all-new 2011 Chevy Camaro. Yes, this is the same one from the first “Transformers” except one year newer. Personally, my favorite feature on this car is its grill. The 2011 Camaro has the meanest grill of any car on the road today. It really adds character to the car and gives a whole new face to the Camaro brand.

The interior is pretty basic. Reminded me more of the early 2000 Pontiac’s. However, most people don’t buy Camaro’s for the interior. It’s meant to be customized as you deem fit. One important feature buyers should be aware of are the small windows. They’re fairly short in terms of height and may take some time getting used to.

So you’re probably asking “How does this thing drive?” Surprisingly well I can say. In the books its says the Camaro can go from 0-60 4.6 seconds. We can definitely validate that claim. On a side note, the PCH was the perfect backdrop for testing.

What surprised me most about the all-new Camaro was the smoothness of the drive. I can attest that most American cars in the $22K-$32K price range don’t drive as smooth or handle as well as the 2011 Camaro. Definitely a plus in my book. For cruising music I definitely recommend the Young Jeezy ballad “Camaro.”

Stay tuned next week, when we try out the 2011 Ford Mustang!
